Heyas! I have an assignment to program a 2D game in a course I'm taking during the summer, but as I'm more or less out of ideas regarding what game I should let inspire me. I was thinking of making a small version of the first Zelda, but I'd love any other suggestions you could come up with!

Some chess-like game, but

* the numbers of squares can vary bitsy.

* the pieces can have other patterns of movement.
