Some may use VLC for playing MPEG-4 and other movie files. Older versions of VLC have few very nasty bugs. So if your wow (or bank) account is important to you its highly recommended that you upgrade your VLC player.

* VLC media player's MPEG-4 file format parser (a.k.a. the MP4 demuxer) suffers from an arbitrary memory overwrite vulnerability when using specially crafted (invalid) MP4 input files.

* VLC media player's web interface suffers from a format string vulnerability when using specially crafted requests.
