Sad but true, i made doomy do a purple silk shirt to match my old assorted pieces, and last week i made myself a red swashbuckler shirt so it could match my new hot pants + guild tabard :/

No worries, there is a nice hotfix for that. You can have explorer use directX functions to draw the png and that brings transparency compability and even full png support for explorer even as old as 5.5 !

In the CSS for the image tag put

img
{
behavior: url(iepngfix.htc);
}

iepngfix can be uploaded to the site you have that you want png support for, but for small-sites you could hotlink from my server

EDIT:
Also, needs a 1x1 pixel fully transparent gif image named blank.gif to be put on the web server using the fix. If the image isn't on the web root you have to change the path in the htc script on the line:
if (typeof blankImg == 'undefined') var blankImg = 'blank.gif';

That solves the problem for ppl too lazy to get a browser that supports aformat approved and recomended as successor for gif by the WWW consortium "only" 11 years ago. Got to love those quick coders at Microsoft. Stuff from last millennium still not supported by their browser.

(And alpha mapped png still works crap, ie renders wrong gamma so colors are displayed wrong and the performance is crap, my dual core monster slows down when two png-24 images are on top of each other in explorer, but works smooth in firefox... )

If anyone want help with this fix poke me and I'll try explain better, or use google :)

Haven't forgotten this stuff - just going a bit slowly about gathering my tools on new pc and grabbing files from laptop and blabla.

My task at work these days is to decorate the workplace. It's nice. I sit around with several cans of coffee and a bunch of canvases and kitchen girls bring me cookies (it's true!) - though, I am no fantastic painter, and I drab a lot of colour-tests as I progress.

This is just a colour-test that went a bit out of hand! Had a request for the scene ages ago and a much more decent-looking start at it on old 'puter which I may finish and post at some other point.

I wish I could also post a recording of me exasperatedly attempting to explain to my boss why I was painting a cow-man, what those weird females were doing, and what exactly a purr-troll is.

Nope, nothing interesting happening yet. It's just nearing 7am and we all know that's when Doing Sensible Stuff goes to sleep.

Er, anyway. Was doing school stuff, had this separate document in which to test the effects of pressing different buttons. It's still just a background test sheet, but it's 7am (did I mention it's 7am?) and I just decided it's SHARETIME.

It's almost as good as throwing snowballs.
